Fernwood Frogs

Hi Fernwood Frogs! My name is Riley Carswell and I will be your Head Swim Coach this summer! I am from Morganton, NC and I will be attending VCOM here in Spartanburg this July. I started on a summer league team just like you all at age 4, and continued through college where I swam and served as team captain for Sewanee: The University of the South. I have coached several year-round, summer and high school teams. I am super excited to meet all of you, and jump right in, swim fast this summer and most importantly to have some FUN!!

My name is Charlie, I have been swimming as a Fernwood Frog since I was 4 years old. I began swimming for Spartanburg High School as a 7th grader, earning a Varsity letter my first year. Being a Junior Coach for the Frogs last summer gave me leadership skills, abilities and confidence to encourage and build up stronger swimmers on our team. I am thrilled to be an assistant coach this summer and can not wait to foster connections with the kids and help develop their skills while having fun along the way! Go Frogs!
